Women of unions are against raising the retirement age
Recently, in the public debate to identify the points of view regarding the initiative to increase the retirement age in women, we trade unionists, come up with a position categorically against the raising retirement age threshold for retirement for women in current conditions over which the Republic of Moldova.
This position clear of deep industry analysis, taking into account the life expectancy, health status of women after the age of 45 years, an alarming increase of cancers among women, low living conditions of the population.
Statistics reflecting the longevity of women for 75 years, unfortunately not attest to its health and working conditions of working poor and unprotected.
International practice, particularly the European one, is to increase the censors with small steps which would obviously affect the population, but it allows to perceive that change is necessary, while we are the country experiments drastic causing syndrome uncertainty and neprotejării population, because it affects the interests of a considerable part of the population.
We understand the financial possibilities of the Moldovan state under current conditions are difficult, but to get out of this situation it is necessary to consolidate the efforts and economic potential without affecting and so difficult financial situation of the population.
Growing phenomenon increasingly to "continue to work after retirement" among women in our country, it is presumed that they have full health and wish for the sake of work longer work but denotes sad fact that salaries who is retired half remain without a source of income, because the size is very small pensions.
In fact, today the pension age limit is almost impossible to survive in the current socio-economic conditions. And that is why, for the most part, over 50 percent of new retirees receive a pension Besides the fact that more and work, receiving wages and contributing again to fund retirement.

APPEAL
The economic and financial situation in Moldova is currently in a profound crisis and this emergency situation requires a series of actions in order to prevent disruption.
Devaluation of national currency against euro, the critical situation in the banking sector directly contributed to the impoverishment of our population, regardless of sectors.
The urgently increase of tariffs for natural gas and electricity, without the mandatory consultation, according to the Law on Electricity, with the specialized bodies in the energy sector and civil society, has caused a wave of discontent among the population, so that they were deprived of a decent quality of living.
Unreasonable increase on energy price will lead to a consistent increase of prices on all public utilities, food, transport and maintenance costs of housing expenses and other costs that make up the minimum consumer basket for the population. In fact, these measures will lead to economic and social collapse of Moldova, whose risk at the moment is already very high.
There is a growing trend of emigration of young people, including families with children, who are the future of the country; we're losing the real potential of the labor force.
Women's Council of the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova, guided by the care and protection of the socio-economic interests of workers - union members, expressed concern and disagreement with the policy of raising tariffs for electricity and gas, considers it to be unfounded, and urges the Moldovan Government to intervene in the decision of the National Energy Regulatory Agency, and request an explanation of the tariff increases and to demand the cancellation of the decision taken rashly.
We demand the cancellation of the decision of 17 July 2015 in connection with the failure to comply the procedure for the review of tariffs in accordance with the law - ignoring the consultation with civil society and the beginning of such consultations, according to the law. In the same context, we call for technical and financial audit of energy companies as they wasn’t audited for the past 15 years, to clarify the real situation in the energy sector.
The population of our country deserves a secure and well-paid workplace and have the right to a decent life. In this context, we, the women of trade unions, draw your attention on the necessity to create the conditions for the retention of young people in the homeland, to improve support for maternity and mental health, to provide better conditions for life.
In the hope of your personal involvement in addressing issues, identified in this appeal, on behalf of all women of trade unions that make up 57% of all union members, look forward to their speedy satisfaction.
